things that make you go...

I also seem to recall this being mentioned as a just question:

Why should I welcome you, Gandalf Stormcrow?

Why is it necessary to put nutrition facts on my bottle of water?

What's that you say, my water has 0 calories, 0g of fat, 0mg of sodium, 0g of carbohydrate, & 0g of protein?

Thanks for keeping me informed, I guess.

Even better is the expiration date on bottled water.
So it's not H2O after said date????

What's the deal with fruitcake? It doesn't add up.

Fruit... Good.
Cake... Great.
Fruitcake... Nasty crap.

Not gonna lie to you, OP...I first read this and thought you drove all the way to Aggieland for snakes and sparklers...

Haha..

"You're gonna stand there, ownin' a fireworks stand, and tell me you don't have no whistlin' bungholes, no spleen splitters, whisker biscuits, honkey lighters, hoosker doos, hoosker don'ts, cherry bombs, nipsy daisers, with or without the scooter stick, or one single whistlin' kitty chaser?!"

I'm an accountant and I've never heard of Benford's Law until now. Thanks for that, Iowa State.

I actually learned it while working or there may have been something about it in a stat class.

I am not sure if you do any audits but it can be applied to cash disbursements during the year to look for suspicious/funny activity because it will catch a lot of similar type payments even when they aren't material. Yes the accounting nerd came out a bit there but I find the whole thing pretty fascinating especially when you see it in action.
