SoonerNation: Oklahoma Sooners staying in Big-12 Conference, caught off guard by Pac-12's decision not to expand - ESPN

Sounds like Stoops had a lot to do with OU staying in the Big 12. Also, a little different than the comment from Rhodes that Pollard never said much to him about possible realignment.

"The source said Bob Stoops, a sounding board for Boren, had become more vocal about staying. Stoops was open to Pac-12 expansion, according to the source, but did not favor it without Texas. Stoops admitted after Wednesday's practice that talks between he and Boren had intensified since the weekend.

"We don't do anything without serious consultation with Bob," the source said, "and Bob was hesitant about going alone.""

You have to keep in mind that Oklahoma was in the driving seat. They had (and have) options to change conferences if they wanted to, so involving the coach of the major sport in the decision-making process is a no-brainer.

Iowa State, on the other hand, had little to no say in the realignment discussion (besides retaining legal rights). Not too much to discuss with Rhoads unless the conference fell apart and we needed to make a move to the Big East or Mountain West Conference.

Chip Brown claiming TCU's chances for getting into the big 12 rising and texas only wants to go to 10.

Good thing its chip brown reporting it, so its probably not true, because adding TCU would be idiotic and adding just TCU even moreso.

Big 12 commissioner Dan Beebe has tendered his resignation, a source familiar with the process said. Beebe had been commissioner since 2007.

I thought the mods were going to ban posters that can't spell Rhoads?

There is a lot less to be worried about tonight than the last few weeks of this. I hope they nail ATM to the wall for exit fees and the SEC for tampering.

@DanBeebe Fake Dan Beebe
OKLAHOMA, WHAT GALAXY DO YOU LIVE IN AND WHY CAN'T YOU GO PLAY SPORTS THERE INSTEAD. YOU ARE MORE OVERRATED THAN TAYLOR SWIFT'S AWFUL FACE

Fake Dan Beebe for new commissioner!!!

"Texas A&M, YOU ARE NEVER WINNING A TITLE IN THE SEC, NOT EVEN ONCE, AND AT LEAST 80% OF YOUR STUDENT BODY IS WEIRD."

"I MEAN TEXAS A&M STUDENTS ARE THE KIND OF WEIRD WHERE YOU DON'T LEAVE THEM IN THE SAME ROOM AS HOUSE PETS UNATTENDED"

"TEXAS A&M YELL LEADERS ARE BECAUSE AGGIE IS SCARED OF WOMEN SO CONGRATULATIONS FOR BRINGING SAUDI ARABIAN CULTURE TO AMERICA YOU INBREDS"
