Texas Tech vs. Tennessee

I'm enjoying cheering against Oklahoma and Texas all of the time now. I loved seeing Butler beat Oklahoma last night. Oklahoma = the Nebraska of the SEC.

I agree it is delightful seeing tu and OU lose often and lose badly.

I think Texas is more on the Nebraska glide path: historical blue blood drifting into irretrievable mediocrity with insufferable, delusion fans that can’t stop living in the past.

I think OU will fill the Wisconsin/Iowa role in the SEC: solid program that has a good record most seasons, but never credibly challenges the top dogs for supremacy.

I watched both TxT and OU. The Tech game was akin to seeing a bad root canal procedure. Both teams were just awful.

OU got beat at home. That brought a smile, particularly when by a Butler team that has been struggling mightily.

These two new B12 coaches who came with so many accolades may find the light a little bright their first year following Lonnie and the now-Texas coach. I saw nothing in my first watch of both to suggest either will finish in the B12 upper half which today includes: ISU, Texas, Ku, Baylor, and I'm not sure who at five.

I haven't seen Oklahoma play yet but your are wrong about Tech. They look like a tourney team to me that could easily finish 4th or 5th in the conference.
They are offensively challenged but a really good defensive unit with size and Shannon is good enough to carry them when they need some offense.
Yeah, the game was ugly but Tennesse is a top 5 or 6 SEC program and we're ranked 13th.
