Its hilarious how many of them got self owned in social media posts yesterday.
First, the stupid "tradition" of the tortilla tossing, its only been a thing for like 20 years, its not some long standing tradition they want to claim.
Second, throwing **** is just stupid and everyone knows it. They claim it is discrimination against them to say they cant throw them. But if the conf said no throwing things to everyone except letting them throw their it would totally be favoritism, yet none of their fans think so.
Third, I agree in most cases tortillas dont hurt anyone, but that being said I totally can see a fluke scenario where one lands on the field and a player trying to make a cut steps on one and slips and tears up a knee or something. I also can see a person, maybe older, or 1 too many drinks or just not paying attention slips on one on the steps and falls which could lead to a serious injury. Again, none of these are likely, but plane crashes arent likely either, but they still happen.
Finally, the overwhelming cockiness of their fans is insane. They act like they have run the conferences since they joined the B12. I had to remind many that they have been no powerhouse, not ever making the CCG etc. And that if a Billionaire hadnt bought them a team they would still be mediocre at best. Its not like their coach suddenly learned how to coach or develop players. They just went out and bought the best players to make it so in most cases none of those traditional things matter.
Had one tell me it only takes 23 pts to beat ISU.... then they lost only scoring 22 pts... I had to go back after the game and remind him of his comment and that it only took 23 pts to beat them yesterday. LOL I couldnt resist. His excuse was the backup QB, to which I had to inform him how many injuries ISU had and how many backups ISU played with in the 2 losses, and that playing with backups is not as easy as he thought it appeared.
I gotta say though, it really appears every fanbase has their share of jackasses. Ive seen a lot of them from many B12 schools. KU, KSU, ASU, UU, TT all appear to have some of the worst especially online, every school has them, just some seem to either have more of them or they are just more obnoxious.
