TCU v NC

I get the post, but the reality is the Big12 needed TCU to win last night to tread water.

Good P4 wins by TCU & Utah. But losses at home by Baylor/Colorado plus Cincy's "neutral" site loss to the Huskers wasn't a good week 1 start for the Big12. Good thing KSU also pulled one out against SD.

The Big12 is a very balanced conference, but we need a few upset wins to keep the Big12 relevant for the media.

Even if the Big XII won all of those games, the perception wouldn't change.

I hate to tell you but the Big 12 could win three natties in a row and we still wouldn’t be relevant to the media.

I can understand ESPN's desire to push the Bill angle to maximize viewership. But come game week, they should be able to push the Bill angle but also give equal focus to TCU. Afterall, TCU won 9 games so ESPN could have latched onto that.

What drove me crazy last night was Rece Davis continuing to comment on how TCU was trying to rub it in by keeping Hoover in during the 4th quarter. I seriously doubt he would question if an elite SEC or ACC team kept their starting quarterback up by 27. And while a 27 point lead is significant, we've all seen games where a team scores 28 points in a quarter.

The only loss in that list that could remotely be considered 'bad' is Baylor. I think Colorado will be bad this year, Cincinnati too. Cincy finished in 11th place last year. Why is them losing to Nebraska on a neutral field, in a game that came down to the wire, bad? 95% of the fans in the stadium were Husker fans too.

This wasn't the top tier Big 12 teams losing, it was middle to bottom tier teams.

ESPN doesn't care bout good commentary. They care about money, and propping up the brands they've paid the most for.

I don't believe that. It might be too late in the game, but look at a program like Clemson. They were a CFB afterthought until Dabo took them to multiple CFPs. Now the media (ESPN) loves them.

If the Big12 can consistently beat some Top 20 P2 schools then the Big12 has a strong arguement to hold it's own in getting CFP bids. If not then pretty good chance we receive G5 treatment (1 bid).

But then the TCU win over UNC didn't matter. Because UNC will be a bottom of ACC team.

The reality is all game between P4 conferences become data points in the P4 pecking order discussion. Some just hold more weight like Baylor vs. Auburn or Iowa State vs. Iowa.

Look at how the media is really downplaying tcu win over Michigan in the semis by always bringing up Georgia. And even with the Nattys Dabo has won, did that really improve the ACC image now, especially after the lawsuits? Texas has won just one Natty in 50 years, but you don’t hear any of that from the talking heads. The Big 12 has either won or played in nearly every natty in B ball in the last seven or eight years. That should be the storyline of college basketball, but it is not mentioned as much as Sec this and that. I just think if the Big 12 ever won a football natty, the next morning we will hear what a down year for college football or I’ll bet that team wants to leave the Big 12. They will find a way to stick it to us whether we win or lose.

Reve Davis can kiss my @$$! ####, he never played college football, SEC ball washer.

North Carolina were 3.5 point dogs at home and got absolutely demolished. Cincinnati were 6.5 dogs on the road, for all intents and purposes, and had the ball driving for a game-winning TD with 30 seconds left. Not even close to the same. That Cincy loss is definitely not egg on the B12 face, and if anything, helped with B12 perception.

Both CU and Baylor were home dogs too and CU played a good Georgia Tech team close. I don’t think W1 was as bad as everyone here is making it out to be.

UNC as a success or a trainwreck is a big story. I'm not sure equal focus to TCU is needed.

However, I fully expected like any good push poller, the talk would be all UNC, and then when it came time to pick the winner there might be one dumbass that picked UNC and the rest would come to their senses and pick TCU to try to maintain a shred of credibility.

But in the end it was all UNC picks except for Howard. What a bunch of dumbasses that are terrible at their job.

And the stupid talk about a GM and strategy of building rosters vs. the draft... How dumb can these idiots be. Like they are going to come up with some revolutionary way to build a college roster.

Their relationship is one of the most pathetic things I've ever witnessed.

Bill is totally ***** whipped.

I don't mind a dude doing what he is doing with her. It's the weirdness of her being out in the open, Telling interviewers he can't talk about stuff. Basically showing herself as someone who is willing to treat an old man the way she does. She is a slime ball. At least Hef knew the drill. He was always in charge of it and had women around that understood the drill. Im the rich guy, you are the hot chick on the side. Your job is to smile and stfu. My job is to make the money and treat you well.
