TCU postgame thread

Do the coaches tell Purdy he has a week to get ready to start next week.
Not likley
At some point you just have to find a way to win. These kind of games are there for the taking. We’re further away than I thought.

I dont think much has really changed from the last half of 2017. Once Park left our offense got stagnant, exclude the OU game

Just a reminder that the large majority of those predicting scores thought we'd lose by quite a bit more than 3. So we lost by 3, and half the board melts down.

I'm not saying there isn't some concern, but TCU is a very good teams, and there are some winnable games coming up.
Predictions do not equal expectations gomer.

People are melting down because our offense is unbelievably bad and are realizing the offense is going to lose us many games we should win with the amazing defense we have.

I'll be in the minority. Let's keep things in perspective. Zeb played really well against OU. He had 360 yards passing. I don't think it is a product of the ISU offense, but rather coming down to TCU a year after ISU destroyed their perfect season and play-off hopes. I saw a defensive struggle in which ISU came out short.
TCU turned it over 3x:
1 - short field TD
2 and 3 - Had ISU backed up deep. Poor field position.
No doubt this offense needs work, but we need to stop with all of the negativity. Remember, ISU was getting killed by TCU, OU, etc before Campbell. Now, ISU had chances to win vs OU, IA and TCU, even after the weird start to this season.

I guarantee they beat Ok ST next week and WVU goes down to the wire. Hope ISU comes out on top, but the progress is there.

Tech, Kansas, and OSU offenses were good last year. I just not sure I am as confident we will do as well this year against those teams. Time will tell.

Was nice to see Rhoads’ defense step up and shut down TCUs offense. The defense really hit them coming off the bus! Too bad we don’t have the offense to score points though.

Oh wait, is it not 2012 again?

I made the 2012 comparison earlier too, that team did make a bowl tho...
KU, Baylor, KSU, IC and maaaaybe OsU?
As long as we dont get blown out by Tulsa I'd be happy with that.

Many predicted our offense being poor would cost us the game. The fact that concern was valid doesn’t make it any less concerning.

Unless you’re already apathetic, being pissed about squandering an upset is good, and apathy is a worse reaction than melting down.

We had zero chance either way at that point.
Focus on what really cost us the game.

Ok, you're right. We had about a 1% chance of winning or tying the game in that last drive, but we didn't even attempt for that 1% due to poor play calling and offensive scheme.

And what really cost us the game was...... well.... the same thing.... poor play calling and offensive scheme.

So the exact same thing that cost us our 1% chance of winning on our last drive is what also really cost us the rest of the game too. So what are you saying again?
