Flip it around, who thinks here that if that would have been an ASU player hitting a UT player right there, that it would not have been called targeting?

There is really no good explanation for it, but it didn't cost ASU the game. Get a stop on 4th and 13 to win the game. Can't ask for a much better opportunity than that to win a playoff game.
I swear all instant replay guys have to be 80 year old retired refs. Why is instant replay wrong so often. It’s bizarre. This was clear targeting. Very clear. ESPN’s problem is the announcers and even their own rules analyst said it was targeting. So what gives. Can we get an explanation from the review official? He owes an explanation

Maybe, targeting has been super inconsistent all year, seemed to be called less often from my perspective. I thought ISU had a lot of calls go their way all year.

Bottom line was ASU had this won in OT. That stupid blitz call cost them the game.
They’d have had maybe a 30-40% chance to win in regulation. A team with a good fg kicker would’ve had maybe 80-90% chance, the penalty would’ve put them on edge of range and doubtful Texas gets ball back unless they score td immediately.
Why are u ok with it not being called when that’s what it was? I’m confused. Obviously if they stop the 4th down they win but that has nothing to do with the other play
It’s a mindset where bad calls don’t exist unless the losing team made zero mistakes. We see it a lot.

I'd ask this doooshbag to provide all college coaches with a list of which penalties are not called at what point in the games = so we can all have the cheat code and get away with it like the big boys do.
