This topic has come up a couple times on KC sports talk shows and the consensus seemed to be that the buyout was too high and Tang would be back next year.

maybe they can convince him to resign for the good of the school like kleinman.
its really weird how much of this was aimed at iowa state from tang. **** this clown.
It's rare that I become a fan of a KU player but I just became a big Melvin Council Jr. guy.
15 million is a lot for Big 12 school not named Tech or BYU

The guys who contribute to NIL would have also pay the buyout
We'll see. He was a pretty good coach that had a disappointing year and being replaced with a guy with high upside, but who also has never been a head coach. Its not like he was Ron Prince
He's talking from a financial perspective.....Klieman was done with it but could've played out the string, got fired, and took 20 million more from k state in salary and buyout. He resigned, saving them all of that.
At home yes. They have some road games that would be big upsets. That being said, they are probably the worst team in the league right now.
I don't agree with Kurtz regularly, but his comment that Tang is on the downhill side of year 4 and we still don't know what a Tang BB system is really hits home. He hasn't to this point demonstrated an identity through 3+ years and a pretty healthy checkbook. He seems to just want to buy players rather than build a team. He's like a bad fantasy football owner.
I was very glad to hear him say that a buyout this year is not in his opinion in the cards. I love it.
