Tamin Lipsey Commits

Please show me where I stated that?

I said TJ won't be sitting one of his top three guards solely based on size.

I actually stated I believe we'll have a super senior starting in 2 years.

You literally stated none of that in the post I quoted.

Mic drop.

Not seeing TJ recruiting someone then say even though you're one of the best three guards on the roster I'm not starting you because you're not tall enough. I also think we'll have a super senior in the lineup but in the end it will be decided by something other than height.

Bump for @RustShack
How hard is it to follow a conversation that's literally on one page?

I would say I was a little worried about our guard depth, before we added Brockington, this year and maybe even next (with two incoming Freshmen next year).

Can we all agree that now we are in a very good position with guard play for the next few years (with or without super-seniors next year)? Whoever starts.

I too think we will have one super-senior guard next year. If we don't, we still are in good shape.

Finished 7th

The way he started out, I was kinda hoping he’d bust out around 24” before he was done. Well, still another year.
Maybe needed the maximum wind. Looks like he hit the take-off point perfectly. Still a good jump. And knee appears to be holding up nicely! That's a good sign.

What other events does Tamin do in track?

His only other event this weekend was 4x1 and the team got 12th in prelims.

had a seat behind a steel pillar for that game used the bracing to hang my coat and leaned around the pillar the whole game. Good times LOL!
Hit the scoreboard. I was sitting behind Pete and Eric.

Really curious how high Lipsey can climb in the ranks by the fall once he can prove he's healthy and productive to the recruiting services.
110-120 I actually expect him to be the highest ranked 3 Star or the lowest ranked 4 Star. But that may be hard. Demarion Watson dropped 29 spots after having a very good summer.

I really enjoy following recruiting. I am a member of the 247 network also and in reading what some of the evaluators say about the ranking process makes a person realize the numbers can be fickle. Don't get me wrong, I really enjoy when we get a highly rated guy like Hunter, but big picture, who cares what their rankings are if the staff prioritizes them? Lipsey is one of the biggest recruits in the last decade because of who he is, where he is from, and what he meant to TJ. If he is never top 150, I still love the kid and would want him over other players who are on that list, as I am sure most of us would.

What I see as most important is are we getting our top guys, and are we getting them early enough so we can move on with the class? They prioritized King, Lipsey, and Watson. 2/3 so far makes this a very good class. Their identification of Watson as the wing they want most tells me the full court press will be on him the rest of the summer and into the fall until he commits. If we are able to land him, this will be an absolutely amazing class, regardless of where the guys end up with stars and national rankings because they were the ones the staff identified as priorities. If they all end up as four stars, that is definitely a bonus but really doesn't change who they are as players.
