Survivor: One World

Am I the only one who thinks is is absolutely outrageous for grown adults to be telling sob stories about not being able to see their loved ones for a month? These things aren't longer than 40 days are they? Is this just me? I guess I could see a spouse, but you would think these people could suck it up a bit.

Haha this happened pretty recently on here to me. I was being sarcastic and I don't like using jimlad and he called me out on it.

You beat me to it. Screw you WindmillErik.

Gotta be quick. These fingers type like lightning!!

Kat, you won't be shown again because Tarzan and Christina are still around. You'll be shown over and over and over because you said "Blindsides are always fun" right before you got blindsided.

That moment made a lost of this season worthwhile. I think Kat will truly hate the jury house.

Was anyone else a little bit weirded out by Kat's relationship with her cousin?

FINALLY they made a logical vote this season! And it was made for TV drama on top of it. Famous last words "blindsides are fun" only to see her go out sobbing. Kat IMO goes down as one of the dumbest people to ever be on the show. Hopefully being on the show gives her a reality check in life but I doubt it.

Not sure who I really want to see win it still but I know it's not Kim or Chelsea. For awhile I thought Chelsea was running the show but lately I've seen she's just Kim's sidekick that will follow whatever Kim wants. I thought a final 3 of Tarzan, Christina, and either Kat or Alicia would have been hilarious since those 4 have been the least deserving and played some of the dumbest games but all the sudden Tarzan is not looking so crazy. He's played the village idiot this long, now he's looking for that opportunity to knock a few players out and make it to the final 3 and I'm starting to wonder if he might just pull it off.

I do hope next season is better, this one has been lacking in good game play and may go down as the dumbest cast to date in Survivor. I keep hoping they'll add a twist some season and do a "partner" type game like Amazing race where the pair essentially would have to be voted out instead of individuals. Just think of how much fun and strategy that would make, say one of the males is a very strong player but his wife is weak and annoying, you essentially are playing multiple aspects of both the social and physical game at that point so makes it tougher if 1 of the people in the pair is valuable to an alliance while the other is a liability.

I told my wife this exact thing tonight. Unless it is your wife, there shouldn't be the sob stories about seeing a sibling or cousin or even a parent being gone for 4 weeks.

Yeah I agree with that too, I sometimes go over a year without seeing a cousin or a relative not in my immediate family, even close friends and I don't get choked up when I do see them. Not sure I would even be that choked up that long away from my wife, I'd miss her but I'm not a highly emotional guy but I guess if you were on an island and deprived of food, baking in the sun, not had a shower in over a month and been away from civilization your mind could be playing tricks on you by then and even little things could stir up some emotions.

I think that the stress of the game helps to stir up the emotions. It also has to be good to see someone that isn't those people. You never really do get a break from them.

I found it a little weird especially when she was hanging from him.

I agree with what have said that the people seemed to be very emotional when seeing their family but I believe this is probably due to the stress of the game.

its the combination of being away from everyone for that long that does it i think...think about it - little food and sleep, lots of stress and paranoia and zero contact with any loved ones to vent or receive motivation from.

plus even when you dont see a parent for 4 weeks you can still always call them whenever you want...theres nothing out there

the way she jumped onto him and straddled him caught me as being a little awkward for a cousin too but considering who we're talking about, i guess its no surprise and probably just her normal behaviour

I'm not married, but it would seem that even if it was your girlfriend or any other significant other, you might miss them a lot, but to the point of sobbing and breaking down? This is a million dollars here. This aint intramurals brother.

Logically, I agree that it's not really that long.
In the context of living with these people and the mental stress of the game, every contestant says that it wears on you tremendously. I think it's easy to underestimate the stress of the game as TV viewers.

I found the blindside pretty hilarious especially with the things that Kat was saying in the tribal council. Yes blindsides are fun and exciting except when they happen to you Kat.

I think Kim might be in some danger because I got the feeling that she wasn't in control this week. I feel she could have controlled Kat but I don't get the feeling that she can necessarily control the rest of the players. I wonder if Kim loses a challenge she will have a huge target on her back because physically she is one of the stronger competitors. I think Kim has to play the game carefully because if she gets rid of Chelsea too early it could be catastrophic for her

Did anyone catch Tarzan calling Kim the "boss man?" I don't know if he was playing with her ego or if he is really under her control. I feel some of the women have some huge egos so Tarzan could play a social game.

kim has a hidden idol which can be played up until the vote from 5 to 4 i believe, so she really only needs to win one of the next 2 challenges to get to the final 4 and unlike the rest of the women, she's actually trying at the challenges...once it reaches that point who knows what will happen but i'm afraid kim will be there among those 4
