Survivor 50

I think everyone has hit the mark on their analysis of Cirie. Probably one of the best players when it comes to playing the social game to manipulate votes but since she is no threat to win challenges that's her downfall to making it to the end. They got her out at just the right time.

Probably won't get to watch the finale until Friday which is going to drive me nuts trying to avoid spoilers on who won.

Favorite season of Survivor. LEAST favorite season finale. Wow. First Jeff f*cks up by spoiling the fire making challenge. Then the final tribal council was like a free for all, fukking jurors talked more than the finalists. And they wouldn't even let all three finalists answer the question asked before jumping in with a different question or comment. Absolutely horrible.

Never been a big Aubry fan, but she’s been through a lot since her debut and it’s nice that she’s finally able to let go of the baggage.

Can’t say I’m excited for the next “new era” to lean even harder into advantages/twists.

The Finale was terrible. Watch for 4 months and no interviewing the cast? Whatever.

Not certain but it might've been because they'd used up all their time cutting from the actual episode back to the live setting and Jeff talking to people there. Pretty sure they used to just air the final episode without continuously breaking to the live set at the start of every commercial break, and then just run the hour-long reunion after.

It was a horrible finale, lots of dumb choices. They need to stop overthinking.

they did interview the cast, they did it as the finale was running rather than all at the end.
Interviewing the cast collectively is always the best way to get good intel. What they did last night added nothing to the show. I do understand your point though.

Survivor needs to stop with the shameless promotion during the show. The Applebees thing was really cringe. The coronas last night (which nobody drank) was another dumb thing.

Glad I didn't waste my time anymore, wasn't a fan of this season with too many twists and turns, including luck of draws over and over... i caught wind of who the winner was going to be and I not a fan, wasn't a true fan of any in the finale (joe because i think he is a good guy, not necessarily a good player)...rizzo was annoying and watching him in back to back seasons was nauseating, and he truly thinks he is an all star...he wouldn't even have gotten very far if his season had aired (another advantage that wasn't for all)...we shall see what the future of the show is but new school play isn't my cup of tea and the shorter days with all the perks isn't what the show was built on. I know not everyone feels this was and that is fine, too each their own. :)

Rizzo had no business being in the top 4 let alone the top 15.

I agree, it really felt like everyone wanted to give their own "snake vs rat" moment where they swung the jury for their preferred winner.

Overall a fantastic season. I personally wouldn't have voted for Aubry but she was deserving.

One of the main drawbacks from bringing back a cast full of returning players from a show as long running as Survivor is is that these people all know each other and it's really hard to ignore that fact when you see them award the 2 million dollars to someone who was certainly deserving, but maybe not the most deserving.

Overall I really enjoyed this season. We got to see Cirie work her magic, Ozzie being Ozzie (both good and bad), some good blindsides (which is really hard when everyone has played before), and very little poor gameplay. I personally would have given the win to Jonathan for basically running the game post merge but in fairness to Aubrey she wasn't a coattail rider. She just didn't have much impact on the game until her final 4 win.

I think Cirie was my favorite player to watch in this game but I don't think anyone viewed her as an actual threat to win because in these new rules, if you can't make fire or win immunity, you're ******. Riz had better spend the next two years or however long before they bring him back working on building fires.

I really wish Kyle hadn't gotten hurt, it would have been really fun watching him work with or against Cirie and Devens.

Dee and Kamilla played well but the luck part of Survivor bit them.

Christian really needs to tone down the paranoia if he plays again. Devens will need to tone down the chaos. It's almost like he gets bored out there. I don't really need to see Joe on Survivor again. He seems like a really great guy and the decency he showed to Eva in season 48 and Riz last night demonstrates that. The relationship between him and Eva is one of my all time Survivor highlights. He's just one of those players who plays a great game to make final three but a terrible game to win. Don't know that that type of player needs a third season.

As for next season, my hope is that while "all the twists that have ever happened on the show" are available, they only pick one or two each season to use. There were way too many twists this season but the cast was strong enough to overcome that. You can't count on that happening with an all new cast.

It's not going to happen, but it would be nice for one of these upcoming seasons to do an "old rules" gimmick where they have two tribes, no hidden idols, and no tribe swaps.

If this keeps the show on the air, I'm fine with it. I agree that I'd prefer it to be at the end as well but my guess is they've found that people tuned out after the vote was announced in the past (like me usually) and wanted to try something different to keep audiences for longer.

they did interview the cast, they did it as the finale was running rather than all at the end.

Way too many people were not heard from. Angelina, Colby, Dee, Savannah, Coach, Q, Genevieve, all have interesting personalities, quirks, or flat out delusions that make for entertaining moments. And none of them got much or any real air time.

The live finale was too short even when it was just an hour with the cast. This was a bigger cast.

For All Stars they did two separate hour long reunion shows.
