I'm struggling with "In the Hands of the Fans" aspect of all this. They say they let the fans vote and this is what they chose. Supposedly the fans voted for a lot of twists. Twists are fine but it just seems like they used this as an excuse to do a bunch of bat **** crazy stuff they dreamed up over the last 25 years and see what sticks.
Originally there were no idols. Then they were told where to look for idols. Then they started leaving them around for you to just find if you were looking. Then you had to do some task that inevitably reveals you have an idol. Now you have to just be given an idol?
All the twists are to powerful. Devens gets immunity two weeks in a row on a coin flip, Cirie gets immunity without competing, Christian has to vote for himself and tell everyone he's doing so. Now Johnathon gets immunity, two votes, and free reign to bounce between groups. This was an interesting set of circumstances but just to much power. Give him immunity and vote in both tribal councils but he only gets to switch groups once and limit the amount of time he has. You get 2 hours total to spend how you want but you can only switch groups once.
And again they take a large group and split it "to make it more dangerous". I'd rather see them organize 9 people to a vote than 5 people, and 5 people. Do you know when they have to organize 5 people to a vote? WHEN THERE ARE 5 PEOPLE LEFT IN THE GAME.
Whew I feel better now. Thank you survivor therapy.
