I was kinda jaded heading into this season but episode has me back on board. Surprised by how much I enjoyed watching players from different eras and styles get thrown together. Bummed for Kyle - I really liked him. Glad to see on social media that his recovery went well.
Not to brag or anything, but I've not seen one episode of Survivor. Not one in 50 seasons, and I don't ever plan to watch one.

Honestly i don't know why that is a big deal that she was a reporter? I mean I would get doctor or attorney where they see you as already wealthy and smart. The reporter thing didn't make sense to me at all
It's a fun show but the "new era" seasons (seasons 41-49) have been mostly garbage. There are some really good seasons of the show but it is kind of a niche concept/show so I understand why it doesn't appeal to some.
People lying about their occupations is some of the dumbest stuff that has been made really apparent in the last few seasons....perhaps if the casting department stopped casting all white collar people, no one would have to lie about their occupations.
I agree. I get the lying if you are rich. Doctor/Lawyer or even a lawyer they know can argue a final three into their favor. However, I agree that it's the dumb casting decisions that are killing it. I love the show alone. The contestants on that show are all white collar people who are great characters. Not sure why Survivor don't cast more of those type of people.
It doesn't make sense. That's why it's so funny. She thought people would think she's too smart. Because you can read a script? Ok cool lol.
That was such a cheesy moment. I mean you probably wouldn't be playing immediately after your season just ended if you were voted out first or something. I really hope she doesn't make it far, she seems to think the season she played had a lot of good players that she beat and IMO it was one of the more weaker casts in recent years. I can't wait for the first challenge where Rizzo gets exposed for not being able to complete a puzzle without having someone else finish it first so he can copy it.
I'm interested in seeing who starts working more with who going forward and if any old grudges (like Coach and Ozzy) fester up again if they make it further into the game. My hope is some of the old school players have been away from the game long enough to have thought through their mistakes and came to play with a different perspective this time. It would be great not to just have all the old school players eliminated early like has happened in the past and have a few of them make it far enough to have a shot at the final.
That is my guess. I've never seen her as a good player and she eventually just annoyed me with some of her antics. Like you said, she was the last player left on a tribe that never won then was the 3rd person voted out after the "merge" the next season she was runner up and got just 1 jury then Heros vs Villains was the 2nd player voted out and was pretty bitter about it on her way out.
Not to upset with the vote out tonight. I wish Joe and Devens could work things out. I like both of them and having them at odds with each other sucks. Joe could certainly benefit from a tribe swap. Seems like there are people in the game who will play a game like Joe wants to, they just aren't on his tribe right now.
So glad to see Savannah voted out. Can't stand her, such mean-girl vibes.
She thought she was a “challenge beast” but in reality, she was playing against a bunch of Cirie’s in her season. It’s unfortunate they felt they had to waste 2 spots on competitors from 49.
She played against probably the weakest cast in Survivor history. She wouldn't have won a single challenge in 50.
Funny that Aubry gets boomerang idol after they go through her bag.
