I can't see how the sun belt would want this. They need to take advantage of the exposure by having their top teams play in big name bowls.

I'm not sure either one was forecast to go to any big name bowl though.

Totally. And maybe they know the sun belt won’t allow it too so they are just floating that out there to show some balls and that they aren’t afraid of them.

In retrospect, we should have and maybe could have cancelled the Louisiana game, as I believe it was contact tracing that led to having so few practices in pads with the whole team.

On the other hand, do we win at TCU without that game? Hard to say.

I’m good with this. LA wins and they move up to 12 or so. Lose they prob drop out. Gives ISUs loss still to a ranked team.

Figured it came down to Cincinnati. UC wins and CC means nothing. Now UC loses and CC may be above them.

Really need more of this stuff floated to the media. By many accounts ISU was in terrible shape with guys getting little practice leading up to LA.
Unlike OSU vs Illinois, who could’ve played they chose not to, ISU went ahead even though they were by no means ready.
Not Campbell’s style of course.
Easy to say looking back, but at the time I think the view was that the odds of getting many games in were not good.

I guess I don't see it as a bad thing. While it would have been great for them to beat CCU, I absolutely don't think we wanted CCU to beat them again. So I'll take status quo.
