The atrocity of dumb-logo and sweatpants almost makes me pine for the identity-stranglehold Pollard established.

I've relaxed my view about alternates. But so far in Campbell era, this is the only successful change.

That one even annoys me...

-- why taper the stripe? the shoulder/pants stripes do not taper... inconsistent = annoying

-- the mismatch of the helmet gold (more metallic and reflective) and the uniform gold (more of the standard sort of yellow color) also annoys me...

Mismatching colors can give you nightmares like this one...

Silver and navy blue in the helmets

Royal blue and white jerseys

Royal blue, white, and... green? mint? whatever it is, it ain't silver... on the pants

WTF all around... PICK ONE BLUE AND ONE SILVER ALREADY

A classic design ruined by schizophrenia on colors

I saw somebody else say this, but it totally reminded me of a generic EA Sports Madden logo you could choose for your custom team back when Madden let you have fun.

While im not a fan, its still way better than the stupid new cy logo that came out a few years ago.

Since the University of Iowa stole the State of Iowa's nickname as their nickname, we should take the outline of the state in cardinal and gold as our secondary logo. Keep it simple and meaningful while sticking it to the team out east. Just like I cringe when I hear Iowa referred to as the Hawkeye state. Now they won't be able to look at a map without seeing the ISU logo

I'd think that going for it on 4th down at the opponent's 33 yd line and converting the play would have more effect on team identity than a new helmet sticker and 12 different uniform combinations. Or maybe making an offensive adjustment to take some pressure off the QB. Or maybe winning a game against a P5 school that's practically given to you on a platter. But these days we are conditioned to focus on the window dressing. So it goes...I'm too old school I guess...

Other than the defense, there were plenty of things that went wrong last night. The terrible logo was matched by the terrible offensive play calling.

I'm OK with the fashion aspect, as long as it doesn't suck. But players/recruits like it, that's all that matters.

You know what else players like? Winning.

Campbell should have no further influence on uniform design until he leads ISU to a win over at least one over-.500 opponent.

The Iowa State logo like the one in the middle of the field lets people know it's Iowa State.

I don't understand why these things are made so complicated.

Since nearly every program does alternate unis, including even OU last weekend, I don't see how it's much of a recruiting strategy any more.

You know what is? Getting the ball at midfield multiple times in the 2nd half and scoring. A 'new' 'look' doesn't amount to much when the result of the game doesn't change.
