The light saber cauterizes everything. so unless its a heart hit you can just keep on trucking.

Dave is good with world building and story telling, but he isnt the greatest writer. He could use some help to jazz up the dialog. He has really only done kid shows so I am sure he will grow as he does more live action.

I think Ahsoka has the whole Jedi Master thing going on. Seems like they always make older Jedi stoic and kinda boring. She has seemed to follow that typical arc from young brash padawan to stoic jedi master from Clone Wars to Rebels to where she is at now

Being stoic doesn't mean they can't be likable though. Qui-Gon was that way but also one of the most likable characters in all Star Wars. Ahsoka in this series or even when she was in Mandalorian or Book of Boba Fett just wasn't really that way.

I've had the same thought. Only thing I can think off is it is a record of antient space whale migratory behavior. Which would be really funny if there was a secret temple built by essentially marine biologists.

Somewhere I found them described as "Dark Jedi" which is a cool concept since we have Light Jedi (Yoda, Kenobi) and Grey Jedi (Ahsoka) already. I also noticed that the blonde apprentice has a padiwan braid like Anaken did in the prequels.

Chopper and Huyang?

Good point. Chopper and Huyang have been spot on and one of the bright spots of the show.

I do agree with you with Dawson coming off as extremely dry and no emotion. Ahsoka is bubbly and chatty/witty. I dont know who my dream actor would be for that role tho. Not sure ashley would have been able to pull off the live action.

I thought Ms Marvel started really strong and then became a mess for awhile. Last episode was solid but a lot of the middle stunk.

I thought WandaVision really drug on for a bit and then ended up being amazing

Fair. I agree on Ms Marvel, and I know my opinion that WandaVision was simply not good at any point isn't shared by most people.

Young Ahsoka was that way. This is more weary, older Ahsoka. One that had the entire foundation of everything she was destroyed by being betrayed by the Jedi and then finding out her former master became everything they were fighting against. She found a new place with those fighting against the tyranny and has been doing that for close to 30 years. She's sick of war, but knows that if she doesn't keep fighting, more people will needlessly suffer. Frankly, the fact that she can even crack a smile is incredible.

I guess "likeable" is completely subjective. She's fine IMO. I don't think she is wildly entertaining or anything, but I've thought she has been fine as the character. I do think it's amusing that Ahsoka was pretty much despised for being too young and bubbly when Clone Wars first came out and now some are cricizing the character because she doesn't have enough personality.

Qui-Gon also cracked a smile and told some jokes and had a sense of humor.

I get why she might be like this. It doesn't make for good TV.

It's been a while since I have watched Rebels but from what I remember she was a lot more stoic than she was in Clone Wars.

So far I've liked the show but I can definitely see where somebody who hasn't seen rebels would be wondering what the hell is going on.

I don't think anybody is asking for tube top Ahsoka back.

It does if we see her re-open herself to others, which we begin to see by the end of Ep2. Again, if the theory is true this happens before her S3 of Mando appearance where she appears a bit more hopeful, then that journey is what we might get to see.

So let me get this straight...A weapon that turns heavy metal blast doors into liquid, leaves a tiny little puncture mark in humanoid flesh?

Thanks Disney.

I really wasn't a fan of WandaVision but didn't watch Ms Marvel because I haven't really enjoyed any of the Marvel content on D+. I know I'm in the minority there but I just haven't be able to get into any of them. I have liked most all the SW stuff on D+ Asohka included up to this point. The Marvel stuff has been a slog for me on every series I've watched where as the SW stuff has been more enjoyable even though there have been some episodes here and there that are clunkers.

In the same movie the guy melting the door got stabbed through the chest and didn't exactly bursts into flames. And that wasn't even Disney.

Everything you are saying is totally true. "Likeable" is totally subjective, so if people don't feel the same way as me, that is perfectly fine. And yes, I hated Ahsoka at first in Clone Wars too, but more so because she was just annoying. However, like most other people, they wrote her better as time went on and I came to love her over time. I guess I'm just back in that not liking her again camp.

Lightsaber hits on human flesh makes the victim burst into flames? Where does this happen in the original trilogy?

They didn't, which is kind of the point. The amount of heat a lightsaber has been shown to generate has fluctuated greatly over time, even within the same story.

1 other point. I've learned with all the Disney shows (Star Wars and Marvel) to never over react to the 1st couple episodes because some I've started off not liking and by the end were some of the best and some started out great and became train wrecks so I like to reserve too much judgement until the season is over

I agree. Kenobi is a fine example. Hated the first half, but the last two episodes were right up there with the Mandalorian S2 finale in my opinion.

Yeah Kenobi is the most uneven series in terms of ranking best episode next to the worst. S2/S3 of Mando are a little uneven but avoid the episodes that are so bad I ask "why am I watching this?". Andor consistently builds up as it goes. Boba Fett to me never really hits a high to be that uneven.

At least there are some Kenobi episodes I truly loved, unlike Marvel series where I just got burned so many times I hung it up completely
