One thing I struggled with is how old and out-of-practice they are portraying Obi-Wan in this series, which on one hand, I can see where they are coming from, but on the other, this is only 10 years after the prequels. He shouldn't be that rusty, especially when you are trying to reconcile the Obi-Wan vs Maul fight which happens 5 years after this series and can be seen below. This Obi-Wan does NOT seem rusty and seems cool calm and collected. He also takes care of Maul in a matter of seconds. Again, something just isn't adding up quite yet, but maybe it will be reconciled later in the series.

Stupid question here, how did Obi-Wan kill Maul in there? It looked to me he just cut his lightsaber in half. Is Maul's life force connected to his saber or is it just intended he was physically sliced by the same slash but kept more "PG" for the cartoon?

I think they were just trying to keep it PG

Part V was probably the best episode to date. The dialogue was better and the plot was decidedly less corny. Got to the end and saw that Andrew Stanton (of Pixar fame) was one of the writers and immediately understood why it was better. He also wrote on the finale, so there is hope that it ends well at least. I think, taken as a whole, the show isn't spectacular but there have been some good character moments. At points they got too wrapped up in the playing with action figures mentality and forgot to focus on Kenobi's emotional struggle.

The turn we all saw coming finally happened and the continuity worry that was had about Rebels has worked itself out. Honestly, I wasn't even remotely worried as no way Filoni was let them leave a plot hole that big.

Holy crap! Apparently, I totally missed it, but one of my favorite characters from Legends has been introduced. While reading The Ringer's recap of Part V, they mentioned a kid named Corran that had been rescued by the Path crew. I thought, that's an oddly specific name to be using, so I checked on IMDB to see if there was a last name. None was listed, but on Wikipedia they had this: Nyche Horn: A refugee with a young son seeking transport from Daiyu to Corellia. That was Corran's mother's name in the books. They just made Corran Horn freakin' canon!

Agreed. I'm actually partial to 3, where we see Vader maybe at the most evil we've seen him. But yes this was the best one IMO.

This is one of those moments where I really get the chance to rediscover how much of a child I am - when Vader uses the force to pull the ship down and then just ripped the sides out I was effing thrilled.

Star Wars fans....why cant we just enjoy things for what they are? Must everything be looked at through a microscope? It amuses me the things people choose to ignore while nitpicking at other issues. None of it is real people.

Its almost like "Ope, new Star Wars movie...lets see what they F'd up in this one" is the mantra. Stop making yourselves miserable and just enjoy them for what they are.
This^ but with everything! My god we went to Disney this summer and had a great time. Since I researched for my trip I started getting click bait articles on my android. Its just constant b''''ing and whining about everything. Just enjoy it. Its becoming super cool to bash the MCU. I've loved the ObiWan series so far and I feel all I read online is hate. Its exhausting. Its not perfect, but its still really good. I watch utter garbage on the sci fi channel and netflix all the time because of the genre. Stick to the academy nominees if you want perfect, leave my imperfect sci fi, fantasy, and horror movies/series alone! ok rant over

Admittedly things can be better. I mean overall I'm a little disappointed in this series. But I choose to focus on the things I thoroughly enjoyed rather than the things that come up short for me.

While those content creators do go over the top in an attempt to gain clicks, I agree with them on many of their criticisms. Obi-Wan for me, has been very awesome in spots, and then so cringe in other moments that its almost laughable.

I'm a bit conflicted with the series.

Everyone in this series seems to be be surviving a lightsaber directly to the chest.

So hopefully this dude is still alive. :)

Wouldn't use the word 'Alive', but if they didn't get him for a secret 'force ghost' cameo then I'll be a bit disappointed because at this point I'm expecting it as ObiWan keeps calling out to him.

Love it.

Although, it was more or less a joke on my part. Nobody should be able to survive a lightsabre directly to the chest. ESP, when Reeva used the same saber to melt a metal door earlier in the episode.

Both Reva and GI took the sabers to the tummy. Not ideal but definitely better than the chest. I mean Maul survived getting cut in half. In SW, you need to give people the Dooku treatment.

I'm interested to know how the Grand Inquisitor survived. Maybe it was the plan a long to take down Reva?

I mean, he said it himself. The thought of revenge does wonders in keeping one alive.

Quin Gons was also to the "tummy"

He's denied it like crazy that he has a cameo in the Obi-wan. But with it announced he will be reprising the role in the animated Tales of the Jedi series, I'm not buying that denial until the credits are over for Part VI.
