Forgot about Bad Batch this week, as the quality has been all over the place hasn't made it appointment viewing. This week was solid and there was another reference to the old EU books.
I watch every week but you're right it's been all over the place. There's been some really good episodes, but most of them have been very meh.

I think that is giving us some hints at the Ahsoka show coming later this year which is supposedly focused around finding Ezra and Thrawn

Yea. I'm going to lose my **** when thrawn or Ezra show up.
I'm doubting they actually show up here outside of maybe a tiny tease. Mando's probably going to find some piece of information he passes on to Ahsoka to jumpstart her search to kick off her series.

Love this weeks episode of bad batch. Loved the throw back with a certain creature and the return to Tantis.

Loved seeing the Purrgils in Mando too.

Is the bad batch something worth watching? I watched Clone Wars and Rebels, but when they announced this, I was kind of sick of stories in this time frame of the universe.

It's not bad. I find the little girl Omega kind of annoying. If they left her out of it, I'd like it more.

OK, I loved Mando from the start and thought that the last few episodes of S2 were some of the best TV I've seen in a long time. That said, I kind of feel like Andor raised the bar so much that this first Mando episode was kind of blah.

If the show becomes a MacGuffin hunt, ("we need to find this thing so that we can find another thing so we can do a thing) it's just a sign of writer burnout, which would be too bad because there's a lot of good characters to explore without that kind of lame plot device to move things along.

Bad Batch has some really high points and plenty of blah episodes. If you are into the expanded universe there are some really good moments where they are bringing that into canon.

It's really up and down. Some episodes are great, some are terrible, doesn't seem like there's any in between.

The first episode of S3 Mando just felt so....Disney-fied to me. I guess I just like the grittier side of Star Wars. Comparing episode 1 of S1 where Mando chops a dude in half compared to what I just watched, felt like 2 different shows. It really felt like they were at Star Wars Disneyland when at Navarro. The editing seemed choppy, a few times I saw characters mouths moving but nothing being said. I get it's a set up episode, but for now not feeling it too much.
