That was my main takeaway, starting to wonder what happens with Austin after this year regarding what weight he wrestles at.

I started thinking that it would depend on how Todd Small performed. Until CKLV, I was pretty sure they would bring Gomez back 2nd semester.

I also was wondering if the staff waits and sees who stays on Olympic Redshirt at 133. Does Suriano, Fix keep the shirt on or come back 2nd semester?

Of course all this depends if Gomez can actually get a Medical redshirt.

Generally that has been the case.

I think Gomez is a long way from 133. I'll be surprised if we see him this year.

I totally understand a guy wanting to have fun in the offseason but I feel like coming in 35-40 pounds over weight is pretty careless of Gomez. You are on scholarship, should be a little more watchful of what you are doing.

Not sure when they are awarded but know the paperwork and documentation needs to start as soon as they think it is a possibility
