I don't think the skill sets are all that different.
I was impressed with Raynor when we played Arkansas State, he almost beat us by himself. (not very good weapons around him)

Raynor seems more crafty as a runner than explosive like Wallace. Seneca was a unique talent with rare arm/legs combo. I feel like we might overrate Raynor because he was so frustrating to play, not necessarily that he was a spectacular talent. He understands angles and can make guys miss in small spaces. I worry that many of our fans are going to expect too much from him. I expect him to be a solid game manager that can occasionally make a big play.

That's all I expected from Rocco and agree the expectation for Raynor stays the same.
This. Rocco was never more than an average Big 12 QB who was, however, usually good in the clutch. But his numbers were often pedestrian.
I absolutely love the toughness mentality of this entire coaching staff.
Staying tough in what could be a brutal year is what will keep the Cyclone faithful interested and willing to give time.
I think it's going to be a much better year than some think. Maybe even a more fun year than many in recent memory.
