South Dakota Pregame Thread

Not sure how accurate this is, but appears to be up-to-date:

Blum was saying on the pod last night that South Dakota lost like 16 starters from last years roster so replacing a lot.

Yup; replacing a lot of coaching staff as well, so hopefully we can take advantage and jump on them early. I believe Blum said many of their transfers came from the Power 4? Their fan forums are high on Bouman being the GOAT, but you'd think if he was so great a Div I school would have promoted him $$$.

I know of a few fans that won't be making this one as they will coming back from Ireland.
Thinking this is the reason there are still tickets available. Would shock me if its not a sell out though. probably happen by wednesday/thursday

Aidan Bouman will be similar to Mark Gronowski.

Really really good at the FCS level, serviceable backup at P4 level

I feel a lot better about this game after seeing all the change they have from last year. Their best returning players are Bouman at QB and their starting RB. They have one returning OL. Everyone else seems to be former role players or transfers. There very successful DC was promoted to the HC.

Glancing at last seasons stats, Bouman doesn't appear to be a running QB. Unsure if he's mobile/has pocket quickness (broad question to anyone)? From prior seasons openers, a running QB (kstate aside) seems like something we won't have to prepare for this year.

Curious what wrinkles USD shows on offense. Looks like they have two 300lb+ defensive lineman.

Will we keep the regular practice, film & weight room routine this week, or any alterations, like an extra day off, due to travel & jet lag ?
