Sony - Marvel Movies Thread

Starting a new thread for the Marvel films that Sony is producing. These films are not tied to the Marvel Cinematic Universe, despite Sony owning the film rights to Spider-Man.

Anyways, Sony has two films coming out this year. An animated Spider-Man movie titled Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse, which will focus on the Miles Morales version of Spider-Man, but also will have Peter Parker as well. Here is the first trailer for this film. The movie will release in theaters this Christmas.


The other film is Venom, which is a live-action film starring Tom Hardy as the villain/anti-hero, The first teaser trailer for Venom dropped this morning:

Toby Kebbel (played Dr. Doom in the terrible F4 remake a few years ago) will be appearing as the villain Ax in the "Bloodshot" film which start shooting soon. Vin Diesel will star as Bloodshot. Bloodshot is a character from Valiant comics, not Marvel.

And the weirdest announcement: Jared Leto will play "Morbius, the Living Vampire" in a stand-alone film based on Dr. Michael Morbius from the Spider-Man comics.
