Softball team home run fest on Easter

This team finally seems to have an offense that consistently pushes across runs.....the pitching leaves a lot to be desired.
I don't know the specifics of ISU recruiting, but getting the lock down pitcher(s) is a lot like the great big man in hoops, or the stud QB....$$$$$

I like Pinkerton a lot. Pitching leaves something to be desired but it’s the most expensive position in the sport and softball doesn’t get **** for NIL.

Softball/baseball is an interesting game and I've been going to tons of games for many years. I've come to the conclusion that if I were coaching or building a team, I would focus on a team of hitters both thru recruiting and player development. In short, I'd be fine with mediocre to good pitching and defense if I knew my team could just out slug people,

In the world of college NIL where softball/baseball is underfunded (and rightly so) this is the system that everyone needs to use, Fans love watching this style amd players love playing it.

It doesn't work all the time but, I'd say it works 90 percent of the time and I've seen it work for area teams in recent years.

I don't follow college baseball, but baseball in general can maybe work a little bit with the "out slug people" idea. Baseball has pitching limits, days of rest for starters, etc.

In softball, if you are looking to even remotely come close to the top teams, you better have one really good pitcher. You'll see teams ride a single pitcher in the WCWS, but they need at least the one. Teams aren't making the WCWS winning 10-8 all season.

Coach should learn to return phone calls from Iowa high school players. Plenty of talent in the State but for whatever reason he likes to recruit outside the State.

This was basically Texas Tech last year with Nija Canady.....and this year they got all of the offensive firepower they could've ever dreamt of in the portal, which is why they are now the #1 team in the country.

All Iowa State needs is a former player to marry a billionaire then they can also be like Texas Tech.

I always laugh when people throw around Dennis Albaugh's name around as being a serious Iowa State donor.....if he truly cared about Iowa State THAT much, Iowa State would be able to get any kind of talent they want.

Watching the CyHawk game right now on Big10 Network. Perfect example of this thread. 4th inning, and there have been 4 homers, little pitching
