So let's talk about seeds now

6-7 is what I am realistically hoping for. Just happy to be back.

In a shocking turn of events, Gotlieb tweeted this earlier.

"ISU in--locked--tough match up for teams--4 out 1 in with Royce White hard to handle"

No matter what seed we end up as, I would not want to be a fan of the team on the other side.

Royce White + a team loaded with 3 point shooters won't put a happy face on anybody. Wish college basketball were a longer season because the arrow can only point up.

I just really, really, really don't want to be in the 8-9 game. If we could get up to a 6 or below or drop to a 10 I would like that better.

I would say that purple kansas is in a bad spot now. Loosing at home with only two games to go and not against great teams (A&M and OSU), I think they can only fall out now.

As for us i know we are in, and don't care what seed either, if you just want in I guess it matters, but I would take our guys against most teams IF we are playing to our potential. We match up well against really any team when we shoot the 3 ball lights out.

ISU only defeats itself. If we get beat by another team we can always look back and know why we lost, its never usually because the other team was just better.

Not true. Baylor beat ISU's *** like a drum. If we defeated ourselves, we were pretty good at it that night.

This is true. Already Royce tweeted right after the game that he was shaken up by Baylor's formations. And he said it would not happen again!

As others have said it's key to avoid the 8/9 matchup. Although imo it's nearly as important to get out of the 7/10 game as well. Some of the 2 seeds are going to be just as difficult a matchup (potentially Duke, UNC, OhioSt). A lot can change between now and selection Sunday though, and some of the teams could flip between 1 and 2 depending on the next couple of weeks.

In other words, I want a 6 or better.

According to CBS (you know-home of Jerry Palm) crew at Kansas, Texas and ISU are the B12 teams on the bubble. Meanwhile earlier today ESPN still had Northwestern and Illinois in. Whatever. Can't even enjoy a really big win without some d**b*$$ comments/analysis/predictions.

We'll probably be an 8 seed on Monday's bracketology or maybe take KSU's 7 seed. Beat Baylor and win one game in the tourney and we are looking at a 6 seed. Feels great.

I think Palm is now just being a little girl because Walters has taken him to the cleaners.

We beat Baylor and we are a 6-7. Lose to Baylor and I believe we are 7-8.
