My guess is the increase in the RV passes is to deter some from bringing them or possibly encourage to pay for the TV village in the future. When I owned an old RV with some buddies we would just take turns paying the parking or split it however many ways between the people that came in with us in the RV. The $100 would be a game changer for us if we still owned it. It was already hit or miss how much space they would allow you to use depending on the lot and people running it on a given day hut for $100 I would sure be pissed if they parked us tight and gave us no more room than a car like they tried to do some games.

Just purchased the vet med rv pass for the SEMO and Ohio game. Agree that increase and process sucks. $110/game for vet med parking. Also email stated that they will not que RV’s on the road or in the grass lots before vet med opens up. Last year was a total gong show for the 1st game with RV’s all over the place until they set up the que in the grass lots. Anyone know where to sit and wait until they open the lots since they are not going to have a que?

Seriously. I don't know why they don't just do something like que the RV's for the public lot over at the Hanson Ag Bldg.

Maybe it has changed recently but I thought you could park at VetMed the night before with an RV so why would they queue it up in the morning when you could arrive the night before?

The que is before Friday at 6pm open. Vet med would basically be mostly full with RV’s spending the weekend in Ames, especially for the early season games by Friday night. The wife and I drive down from the twin cities and make a weekend of it. The 1st game last year they did not que to RV’s in the grass lots and everyone parked on the shoulder on the road just below vet met, but got kicked out before the lots opened. It was a mess trying to find a space for a couple hours for a 30’ travel trailer and truck. After that they started the que in the grass lots below it went much smoother. In the email this week they stated no que this year so as 100 or so rv’s converging on vet med at the same time without a traffic plan or place to que it is going to be a mess.

When the ISU police kicked out those of us who were in a que on Thursday night for a Friday 8am entrance to a D-lot last year, I made a roster of names of those lined up in order, fastened it to one of my ISU flagpoles, and wrote that we would be back to line up by 7am Friday. Worked surprisingly smoothly.

That's what i did. Got charged 175, so no fees. Don't get a confirmation though. Hopefully they show up Wednesday before the game.

I went to the Ticket Office in person and called. Both times, I got pushed to the online site (with janky explanations about why they need to do it this way). This is a really bad customer experience.
