A few days ago a friend asked me if ISU ever had 3 graduates starting at QB in the NFL at the same time.

I know back when Seneca Wallace was starting for quite a stretch on the Seahawks (what's-his-name ... ?Hasselbeck? was injured) I think Sage was starting too. But I can't think of a 3rd.

I'm not sure if there have ever even been 3 Cyclone graduates on NFL rosters at QB simultaneously, let alone starting.

If anyone can clear that up for me, would be grateful!

[Edit: I realize I should have put this in the Pro-sports topic ... Oops, sorry! If a mod wants to move this, that's fine.]

I'd be willing to bet we haven't and very few schools have.

Did Meyer ever make a roster? I didn't think so but it's the only scenario I can think of where it's possible.

Agreed, when we had two, I think that was quite impressive. And that's from ISU.

Last week, there were 2 from USC (Palmer and Cassel), which wont be the case this week. There were also 2 from Michigan (Brady and Henne) and who knows if Henne has the job or not.

Forgot NC State, Rivers and Glennon.

I would bet that Palmer, Cassel, and Sanchez were all starters the same week at one point in the last few years. And Leinart??

No, he had a few camp invites I dont know to who all but I know the dolphins and the redskins (his uncles two teams) and he was with the redskins camp for a few days but was released right away.

Rivers, Glennon, Russell Wilson

I don't think we've ever had two in the league at the same time except Seneca and Sage. Maybe David Archer and Alex Espinosa, but I think Espinosa played in the USFL.

Wasn't Todd Doxon inexplicably on the Dolphins roster for a year or two? Did he overlap with Sage at all?

When Orton was starting Purdue had two. To have two starting qb's in the NFL is a pretty rare happening. USC is the closest, although with very little production.

When Russel Wilson claims NC State, we can count him, but he claims Wisconsin so thus he goes into my brain as a Wisconsin player.

USC's motto: "We'll make you famous and get you to the NFL! But you won't do **** there..."

Not a bad motto when most other schools can't even claim that. Not a fan of USC, but really not a bad motto to have when you are recruiting the QB you want. Think about it, "Why not come to USC and be our QB? Look what we did for Mark Sanchez, and he sucks!"
