I am super annoyed every time I hear a power conference coaching salary, but this is a good reminder of the privacy they give up.
No, it doesn’t justify the behavior nor the exorbitant paycheck, but I don’t envy what anyone involved with this is going through.

Obviously no one knows for sure and it's all internet conjecture. But I heard he broke into an assistant's house and threatened suicide and threatened the assistant's wife and the wife called the police.

No, but if you are suicidal and someone calls, police will show up and take you so you don’t harm yourself.
Just waiting one more week could have avoided stain of an organization that never took responsibility for institutional child abuse and gotten a job that's pretty similar in most other ways. Of course Michigan might have hired top guy on list without exhaustive process.
Michigan can probably afford the eight-figure buyout if they really want him.
If he used threats and coercion to get her to get an abortion there are laws against that. Not sure I've ever heard of anyone getting arrested for it, but it depends how far the behavior goes I guess. Definitely going to be massive lawsuits against him and the university.
