Sherrone Moore Fired

Michigan AD probably needs to go as well?
Yeah, you'd have to think that's on the table.

If they truly investigated previously and were not able to corroborate then something else came out recently that caused them to take action you probably keep him and maintain the "this is a terrible situation although we handled it appropriately".

Where is gets tricky is if there was any kind of impropriety - namely this notion that they wanted to sign the recruiting class and see how the Ohio State game went. There you have two options:

1). Fire him and make him the fall guy, but risk him going public with this and completely tarnish the cultural reputation of your university and athletic program.
2.) Keep him around to avoid the risks with #1.

l don't see how things would go differently if that were the case. Even if HR was present and security escorted him out of the building, the incident happened off campus.

I think a lawyer got involved and is trying to build a lawsuit case.
No doubt. This reeks of a lawyer hunting for a wrongful termination case.

I don't think it's meant to imply that his crash out at home could have been prevented, but that nothing was done to prevent a potential crash out at the workplace when Manuel had been warned that Moore could fly off the handle.

This is probably getting leaked to Auerbach (Michigan grad) to either put pressure on the admin to fire Manuel or show a pattern of incompetence that will justify his inevitable firing.

The story is that they both denied during the investigation. After that was over Sherrone was encouraged to fire her because the whole thing was a distraction. So then he fired her and you won’t believe what happened next. That made her mad and she flipped her story. Then the fallout.

I know the middle doesn’t make sense. I don’t but that no one “knew.”

You'd think if he was going to do that he would have been smart enough to pay her off so that wouldnt happen, but doesn't sound like there's a whole lot of thinking going on here.

It also reeks of many people who want Warde out as AD. He burned a lot of good will with the way he handled certain situations with Harbaugh among the donor base.

I would be shocked if he survived this but their is an interim/new president so the regeants will have to force it

wtf is up with this state. i'm just waiting for cmu to have a murder, wmu will have an alien

Do a little 3 month long internal investigation. No rush. Maybe see how the season goes. Maybe see just how concerned you should be about this based on how the season goes. And then act accordingly.

But there was a really BIG game late in the season. Ryan Day thought things were tough at Ohio State by not beating Michigan in 4 years. Looks like Moore's finding out how Michigan boosters take losing 1 game.

Man, you would think if you were the AD, you would want to have security to protect you and also staff in the immediate area. If he was unstable to do that off campus, they are fortunate that didn’t happen on campus.

I've had to lay off more people than I would like to in my career. Only twice was there security involved and it was both when concerns about mental well being and physical safety came into play.

HR was not there in either case and secruity was - let's just say - not very visible. They were there, but they weren't in the room. Entirely possible Moore didn't see security, but precautions were still taken.
