Shayok Out tonight, Questionable for Sat

Heard the Wigg/Jake thing, Conditt is new to me.

Yeah, there’s no ******* way we win another game.
Sometimes a fight is what a team needs. Get it out.

My question is who is the poison. Could be more than one person but its typically a toxic personality that causes this stuff to eventually blow up.

I don't think there is one person in particular. Just frustration blowing over in an intense practice. If there was one person we all know who it would be but I don't think he had anything to do with this from what I heard

I don't think it's a big deal because I've personally witnessed stuff like this many times.

Sometimes it takes a big blow up for everyone to get the stuff built up off their chests.

Whah was the timing? Early on, I could see the opportunity to get it out and get on the same page.

This sounds like the way Paul Shirley describes the Hampton squad.

At least it shows some fire out of the guys. I witnessed fights all the time in football practice, even witness a guy get jacked so hard in the jaw it had to be wired shut.

Anyone remember the story about Georges and Melvin?
It was Ejim and Railey. We know how well that year went.

Skirmishes in practice are one thing. Multiple different ones that lead to a guy like Shayok getting injured right before the tournament is another. A little late to be having a constructive fragmented locker room, and injuries.

Sounds like the end of the Hoiberg-to-Bulls year.
BDJ gets too much blame for that dysfunction.

I was not trying to pin all the blame on BDJ specifically -- not that he was helping. That team had lots of problems with personalities and consistency beyond him.

The good news? Chemistry the next two years was excellent.

Things can change quickly.

I don't think it's that bad.

A fight that knocks an all-Big 12 player out for an extended period of time is pretty bad, even if the injury was a freak accident or him just blowing off steam after the incident.

I think the ejim niang deal was before the season, or maybe even when niang was on his visit. Ejim threw a ball at his head.

Ok here are the details:

Conditt dunked on Talley almost breaking ZT's arm. MS told Conditt to cool it. A while passed and Conditt confronted MS and they got into a fist fight. Then later Conditt slammed a door which hit MS foot (which was barefoot) breaking his pinky toe.

Separate incident - MJ and LW got into it when MJ told LW that he is selfish and that if he'd be a better team player they'd be winning more. LW got in his face and MJ got back in LW's face until LW backed down.

Ugh, such bad luck with injuries and suspensions this year. Might consider sitting him until the post season to ensure it's healed - that's all that matters now anyway.

Can't lose tonight, it will drop our seed at least 1 spot in the NCAAs and closer to being in the 7/10 or 8/9 game.

We will not be an 8/9 seed.

Sit these guys out so they are healthy for post-season. These next 2 games mean next to nothing. Our seed line will not drop below 6/7. Our NET is too strong and we have some solid Quad 1 wins. The bubble is so bad this year, too. They're still saying Texas is a 9 seed!

I understand what you are saying.

The incident I mentioned was spring ball, but we always had crazy fights throughout the season.
