Severance on Apple+

The show gave me a mystical realism mixed with sci-fi. Really really good show.

Kinda depressing to watch on a Sunday night though. Especially if you have an office job lol
Originally watching the first few episodes, I was amused by the absurdity of it. There were plenty of laugh out loud moments, as the innie world is introduced to us. But the more the show goes on, the comedy is slowly stripped away, and you're left with just the dread and horror of the situation. It's a very cleverly made show. It took me all of 10 minutes to be completely enthralled with the show. I just want more of that world.

We finally started this tonight and are three episodes in. I hear the finale is great.

Like any good mystery show, it definitely leaves some threads hanging, but the way the show ramps up from the first episode to the finale is incredible. I have really high hopes for season 2.

If I had to be clearer about it, the last three episodes is where the momentum really kicks up a notch.

@Angie Slow Horses is awesome

You are freaking fantastic - I kept wavering on adding it to my watch list. THANK YOU.

I'm also super-curious about Roam, the new Nicole Kidman weird-looking one. It sort of reminds me of Legion a bit in the commercials.

Watched Severance for six straight hours tonight finishing the season. Great finale and series. But I called two of the big reveals from the finale a couple of episodes prior.

One of the better series the past couple of years.

I just finished "Shining Girls" on Apple+ and it was very good! I think there's only the one season (8 episodes), but it was excellent. The first episode wasn't over engaging, but give it a chance and go to episode 2 & 3.

I need to pick it up again. Episode 1 definitely didn’t hook me but if you felt the same and continued, I should try again.

Season 2 finally starts in 10 days! I just re-watched the first season, so good.
I need to rewatch as well, if only to hear Ricken's inspirational words again:
"What separates man from machine is that machines cannot think for themselves. Also they are made of metal, whereas man is made of skin."
-The You You Are

"Mark, would you help me hang the kelp?"

"Why?"

"Do you really want me to explain why?"

Will be interesting to see if they can keep up the suspense and mystery given the ending of the first season, there's still a lot to uncover in the show but it's probably hard to beat that first season. Hopefully I'm wrong! They certainly took their time making this season so that's good, I think.

I also need to rewatch. I caught the first episode the night it dropped, as I just happened to be home recovering at the time. I could watch Adam Scott read the phone book and be entertained.

So pumped for this! I’ll be on a bachelor party the night it drops through the weekend. Maybe I can convince the guys to binge watch the first season with me again?
