Not to pick on you but did you ever hear of wrestlebacks. Fanthorpe and Clark could score a lot points as can Mueller in them. Stay positive.
Obviously. That's like saying losing is a bad thing.
However, the chance for bonus points really come in to play in the consolation brackets when there might be a bigger gap in talent.
Say Clark finishes 3rd and racks up at least a major in each match. That's some good looking points there and a heck of an effort.
How many more matches do Reader and Cyler have to win to make AA from their current position? How many would they have had to win if they lost?
Good point. But it's too bad we lost 2 very winnable matches. Those points are forever lost and could be big come the end. Also just don't like seeing our guys not being able to "win" when its either wrestlers match. I remember hearing Cael saying we will be ready come NCAA's... so just bad signs.
But great point. They can still have an excellent meet and score a lot of points.
If they lost, one more than if they had won. I don't know the number because I'm not looking at a bracket, but I think it's either... 3 or 2 wins away.
Cons. bracket is generally 2 for 1 advancement. They have to win 1 in the cons. bracket to get back to even with the ch. bracket, then they'll have to win 2 in cons. bracket to stay "even" with the ch. bracket. I'll also have to look at a bracket -- but I think it's either 4 or 5 for Clark and company to guarantee AA, where Sanderson and co. only need to win 2 more to guarantee.
I think. This computer is slow so eventually I'll look at an actual bracket.
Just looked at a bracket. Looks like if they win tonight, and lose tomorrow morning, they have to win one more tomorrow morning in consolations before AA status. Lose tonight they have to win later, win tomorrow in Conso bracket, then win again. So 2 or 3 matches.
