Senior night

Not that its important, but did Jordan Bohannon come back just to play one last injury free year? Knew they would make noise this year? Just loves the college game? Trying to get better for possible future basketball in Europe? (Please, no rude or joking answers). Just wondering because it does seem like he's been there a long time.

Take it FWIW but the rumors I heard locally were that he didn't get the professional feedback he wanted so he figured why not along with NIL stuff. His stock isn't going up professionally so he will likely join Jason and Matt and work for his dad.

I was wondering if Jaz would consider leaving to play pro ball in his home country after this season, or does he need one more good year at ISU to even be considered for that?

The seniors most likely to return next year would be Gabe and Jaz.
His home country is awfully close to Ukraine if I have it right. He may or not not want to go home if that spills over some.

EDIT: Velo corrected me, I was thinking Slovakia not Slovenia.

Does anyone know if there is a way to watch the senior night recognition on TV?

Slovenia and Ukraine are about 600 km apart at their nearest points. Heck, Austria is closer to Ukraine than Slovenia.
600km is only 375 miles apart. If there was a war happening in St. Louis (370 Mike's from Ames) that'd be close enough to make me nervous!

Yes, but the Russians would have to go through NATO countries to get there. And they are adding American troops to those NATO countries right now. If Putin attacks a NATO country it is going to be a whole different ballgame.

Wasn't he honored previously? And was asked to come back & help the team as a scout team member? I don't think he planned to suit up this year; I have seen him on the bench but I don't recall seeing him suited up.

Agree - Heard his sister say that he was working as a GA in the Business College and has an internship so did not feel he could put all of the time necessary into it to suit up for games but was happy to help as a scout team member.

I wasn't going to say it but his sister was the one that told me too. A friend gave us his tickets for a game and she was sitting near us and was very nice filling us in on all of the ins & outs of the team (we hadn't been following WBB much before that).

Don't think it was any secret so don't feel bad revealing the source. Plus he also will leave on a much higher note than last year considering the Covid Issues and the season results whether he suited up for games or not.
