I would pay lots of money for Iowa State to be the 5 in a region where Purdue or Maryland is the 4 and Oregon is the 1.

I just want to say, I'm ridiculously excited that Iowa State is going to the dance again! Not making the tournament blows.

Go Cyclones!

I would like to add that Northwestern's club got lonelier this year with Stony Brook going to the tournament for the first time.

March Madness has given me some of the best Iowa State memories over the last four years:

UConn in 2012
Notre Dame in 2013
North Carolina in 2014
(We don't talk about 2015)

Worst feeling I have ever had as an ISU fan also came in 2014.

While I can see Oregon as something I'd want too as an Isu fan...Purdue on the other hand? Those 2 NBA bigs would be a nightmare for Isu. Nightmare. If either of Niang or McKay sits the who guards either of their bigs? 6'4 Burton? It's not that they are normal bigs who don't do much, they have serious game.

There are some pretty bad memories in the last four years too but that's not as fun to think about: Ohio State in 2013, Niang's foot in NC Central game in 2014, obviously UAB.

Agree. Purdue is a horrible match up for ISU, but I think its coming.

Purdue would score on Iowa State but ISU would also score a ton of points. I think that's a good matchup as anybody is going to score on ISU anyway. They have bigs who couldn't hang with Niang while defending him.

Not sure I want any part of Oregon but I'd die for Purdue or Maryland as our 4 seed

Not sure which 1 seed would be better for Iowa State. If we are a 5-seed we're staring down the barrel of some 1-seed in the Sweet 16.

Run em, just like Carolina in '14. Watching Iowa play Purdue, they simply can't keep scoring with good offensive teams. Remember, they have to guard us too.
