There are countless alternate versions between studio & live albums, by numerous groups, but this is one of the earliest examples in my listening experience that's radically different. (fwiw, I encountered the “Alive II” version before I heard “Destroyer" album).

Don't overlook Rainier Fog (2018) and the recent Jerry Cantrell solo work. Still stellar.

On the OP topic, venturing into the Neil Young archives is a perpetual rabbit hole of versions. Down by the River would be an example.
