I'd like to see us give Cook a shot. I've only seen him wrestle and obviously a tough kid, and appears to be pretty good at football too.
I'd much rather see us fill our roster with under the radar hard nosed Iowa boys than 2 stars from florida or Texas.
I dont know if we think that some of those guys are diamond in the roughs or what, but it seems like we do a lot more "missing" than "hitting" with the texas/florida 2 stars. Atleast with a tough kid like Cook we know what we are getting.
Iowa State is never going to be more athletic than the majority of the teams we play. If we are going to win games, its going to be because we played harder, were more disciplined and gut out victories. Cook fits that mold.

That is awesome for Sam. Hope we give him a shot. His location in Ft. Dodge is certainly not doing him any favors for getting a DI scholarship.

He's a good wrestler as well. Fort Dodge has a cupcake schedule . I bet he goes to ICCC or IWCC.
