If you go to NDSU, that's the end of your football career. If you go to ISU, maybe you won't be winning 11 games a year, but at least standout performers here get a chance in the NFL.
Did you forget a Jimlad in there somewhere?

He may choose NDSU over ISU! If your choices were: ISU, Kansas, NDSU or UNI, right now, where would you go? You would probably win more games in one season at NDSU than you would in a career at ISU! Sorry to be so negative but I am being completely honest right now.

I would bet that UNI has more guys in the NFL than ISU has. Not sure about NDSU though.
I don't give a crap what school the kid plays for. In my opinion he is not worth a scholarship.
This is what bugs me with recruiting in the state of Iowa now, "let's get the kid to walk-on". I think back to when Mac recruited Iowa and had success and wonder how many of those kids; the Ryan Kock, Brett Meyer, etc type kids would even be recruited by Iowa State now? If there is a V or D on your helmet well then he must be ok. Missing out on talent in this state and thinking "well they will walk-on" is a bad mindset.
Kock was a walk-on that earned a scholarship like the other Iowa boys such as Levi Peters, Jeff Woody, Ben Boesen, etc...
Kramme is pretty good. No idea if he has any offers or whatever but I've seen him play and he was one of the better players in central Iowa (although that definitely doesn't necessarily translate to Big 12 quality)I'd like to see the staff focus a little more at instate kids to play positions like OL, TE, DL and LB. IMO Iowa HS kids that that aren't obvious recruits like Lazard are undervalued.
Cook might be worth a scholarship, but he seems pretty limited. At 5'10" and 210 he might be able to put on 10-20 lbs. He already looks pretty thick in the legs. So he may only project to play FB or MLB. ISU isn't likely to use a scholarship on a blocking FB.
Conversely, I look at Isaiah Kramme from Ankeny and see a kid with the measurables to play a number of positions in college. At 6'3" and 195 lbs. with 4.5 speed, he could stay at his current weight and play WR or safety. If his body can take some weight, he could grow into a TE, LB or DE.

Ndsu will get 2 drafted this year so they'll be up to 8. So not much for ending careers!!
