My father just got an RV pass this year and will be coming from Cedar Rapids area to games. We were curious if there was any place to fill up with water or dump sewage along that route which people have found? Any help would be appreciated.

Not to hijack the thread, but I'm planning on brining an RV to park in VetMed for ISU v TOE, I plan leaving Friday. What time should I plan on arriving to Ames to traffic?
There is a rest stop on I-80 just 11 mi. west of Williamsburg that has dump stations but the water is not palatable. I've used it many times and they have them in both directions. Kind of out of the way unless he's doing I-80 for some reason! My father just got an RV pass this year and will be coming from Cedar Rapids area to games. There is currently construction at the Vet Med building. I'm not sure what parking will look like there for RVs. or how long it will be under construction. They may put RVs out by the Dairy farm. Anyone have any more knowledge on this?Hickory Grove Breezy Bay*

I would arrive sooner than later, those lots fill in fast on Friday nights especially for a game like that you don't want to be crammed into some odd spot that is left over.
Your new avatar is ******* amazing. There is a rest stop on I-80 just 11 mi. west of Williamsburg that has dump stations but the water is not palatable. I've used it many times and they have them in both directions. Kind of out of the way unless he's doing I-80 for some reason!
The wife and purchased our 1st rv for tailgating this fall. Super pumped about tailgating all weekend. We will be comimg down from the twin cities and staying in the vet med lots (at least that was the plan). Any further info on the vet school lots not being used and pushing rv’s to dairy? we have stayed with a friend in their rv in vet med, how does dairy compare? Also, does anyone know if there is fresh water available to fill on I35 coming from the north. We would rather not haul the excess weight 3+ hours.
Thanks, man. I spied the actual neon sign for sale on a website and couldn't believe my good fortune. I nabbed the pic of it quick!Your new avatar is ******* amazing.
The published time is 5:30, but I have seen it open earlier and later in the past. Last ISU/Iowa game - they started staging RVs in G4/G5 way earlier. I thought I remember reading that they were going to start staging them in the late afternoon so I thought I would be ahead of the game and get there around 2:00 pm...I was literally one of the last RVs staged. I don't think I pulled into a spot in Ved Med until well after dark. FWIW I ended up in the grass jammed in pretty tight. I would have to assume if anyone got there at 5:00 they likely didn't park in Vet Med, but I don't have any first hand knowledge.Public RV parking lot has always opened at 5pm.
