It's funny how many field storms we saw yesterday for kind of ******** reasons. Nebraska gets to 6 wins? Rush the god damned field. Oklahoma wins a 2nd SEC game? Time to rush the field.

Nebraska rushed the field for reaching ISU’s 1998 level.

Doesn't the BYU outcome later that night determine this?
Could be win and in for a lot of different scenarios, Colorado plays night before if they lose we are win and in. Tech and Arizona state are early games so if Arizona state wins we are win and in. If tech loses then the byu/Colorado outcome does not matter because we would hold tie breaker in this scenario and we are win and in that was as well. So root against Colorado Friday, and big wvu and Arizona fans

I seem to remember a field rush over a cupcake non-conference game the year after the winless season.
Had to check with husband, who was in the band. Not only was the field rushed in '95 after beating Ohio, the goalposts came down and ended up in Lake Laverne.

People realize if we win we would also be rushing for going to the Big 12 title game ? L:ike field rushing in general is over done, I get that. But first ever 10 win season, going to a conference title game with a chance at the play off, and beating the trash kitties all in the same game?

Hell yes, rush the field. Just don't be Arizona State and actually wait for the game to be over.:)

For context, our previous year also had "10" in the record just the wrong column.

Agree. Act like you have been there before!
Why though? Iowa State hasn’t been there before. And a win would potentially give Iowa State the chance to win its first conference title since 1912 and the first time outright. Why do we need to act like we’ve been there before when we haven’t?

People shouldn’t be ******** or **** talk. But if Iowa State wins, I don’t see why we have to pretend like we’re used to this. Especially if we’re just doing it to earn the respect of stuck-up fans of other teams
Exactly, not really interested in calling attention to the fact we haven't won 10 games in a season before.
I don’t think fans rushing the field will draw attention to that, because anyone who pays any attention to this game will probably be well aware of that.

The announcers will probably talk about that pre-game, during the game, and post game. They will have a graphic showing that Iowa State is trying to get its first 10 win season. There will probably be pictures of the last times Iowa State won 9 games/the conference title. If Iowa State wins, it will say in huge letters that this is their first 10 season. Probably every article and highlights of the game will say it. Whether Iowa State fans rush the field or not isn’t going to make a difference.

Fans should absolutely rush the field if Iowa State wins against Kansas State.

100% depends how they win.

Lead by 10 the whole way, win by 3 scores, game never really in doubt? Nope.

Win on a last second FG, win an intense back and forth game on a late drive or turnover? Heck yeah.

People get all wound up about rushing the field-- is the opponent worthy etc. That is getting it wrong. The HOW is a bigger driver than the WHO or the WHAT. But if the WHO is big then the HOW is usually pretty exciting and thats why people get it conflated.
