You used straws instead of TP? Does not sound pleasantI've grabbed at straws before but that is grabbing at the whole bale.

Complimentary, I hope! The Hilton Garden Inn that we are booking in Atlanta offers "toilet paper" as the last item on its amenities list.
So, yay?

MRW my cousin tells us he used a sock to wipe when he ran out of toilet paper....
For me it depends on how cold and how fast I have to go. I usually like it so I can hit the windshield easily or it’s clear. That’s my timeline. So @BCClone brought up a very fair and good question in the EV thread about warming up a vehicle. This is something that is a slight pet peeve of mine. My in-laws insist on the entire vehicle being warm before getting in and going leaving it running for a long time. I am of the persuasion of get it going to get the engine oiled up and then drive as it will warm up quicker as it works more than just sitting there.
And go with how I am right.![]()
According to "expert" reports, you are correct. It only needs to warm up enough to get the oil into a lubricity state. I grew up running it for 5 minutes to get it good and warm, now it is only long enough to buckle up, fiddle with dash andSo @BCClone brought up a very fair and good question in the EV thread about warming up a vehicle. My neighbor - who is an auto mechanic - has a huge SUV that won't fit in his garage so it sits on the driveway. He starts that sucker up and lets it warm up for half an hour every morning. I, on the other hand, start up my car in the unheated garage, let it run long enough to roll the garage door up and then essentially coast down the driveway. When I hit the street I accelerate normally (not aggressively) and am off. Maybe I don't wait long enough, but I'm sure not going to let it idle for half an hour each morning. So @BCClone brought up a very fair and good question in the EV thread about warming up a vehicle. Last time my neighbor traded pick up trucks he had to upgrade to the next trim level so the mirrors would autofold so he could fit it in his garage #1stworldproblems.Too big to fit in the garage. If I had a nickel for everytime I heard that line.
