I just read about this online and signed up for it. They GIVE you a free stock for singing up. It is random what you get but I got Facebook which I can now keep or sell off and buy other stocks with it. Anyone else done this and is it legit? This is the site https://share.robinhood.com/ryanh2304

I've used it for a couple months now and did a fair amount of research. I'm sure for people who are more serious about their investing there's better options, but for a beginner like myself, it's plenty to learn the ropes and get yourself some experience.

I started early in 2018. Even upgraded to Gold ($10/month) so I can do some option trading. Have not done crypto.
Functionally it seems to work fine. I usually judge these types of things by how well their tax report is prepared. Hate when it is late, jacked up, or makes me follow up with questions.
Even though they changed horses during the year, I was pleasantly surprised the tax documents appear well done.
I can recommend them.

What does it cost to trade with them? If $8 then you need that thing to double actually get anything.
