How confident were you when the bracket was released that ISU would go further than both Iowa and Nebraska?

Nebraska has always had solid attendance even in their lean years which is many. Last year NU had better per game attendance than ISU. 13th in the nation. 14,964 per game vs 14,062.

And I would be shocked if it’s not at least as legitimate as their football home game sell out streak.

I would rather lose in the first round to Hampton then lose to Iowa in the championship game. The year we lost to them in the NIT was bad enough, let alone post season that actually matters.
If EIU won the championship this season they would be the lowest ranked team ever to do it, right now Villanova holds the record as an 8 seed when they beat Georgetown in the finals in 1985. I remember watching that game, and the Wildcats shot an unbelievable high percentage for the game. It was before the shot clock, Ewing had block after block and it was not enough. The Athletic has EIU at a 1% chance to win the title. I just can't see them continuing to play at a high level for four more games, they can by Nebraska, but after that they are not going to match up with any team from that point on.
Even if Fred takes Nebraska further than he took us, I'd support that over Iowa winning!

Never Iowa. Anything ending with Iowa winning something of significance, specifically in football and men’s basketball, I am 100 percent out on.
With no shot at winning in the Final 4 and Iowa definitely winning the championship? Absolutely.
Iowa winning the National Championship is not good for ISU on any level.
Give me Iowa out in the Sweet 16 and ISU out in the Elite 8 over Iowa winning the NC and ISU in the Final Four. Not even close! Losing in the Elite 8 or the Final Four is still losing. No way do I want Iowa to have a NC Banner!

Speaking of rivalry, I know we already beat them but I think we would destroy Iowa if we played them again and Nebraska too. Definitely shows hoiball with no defense
I went for Iowa the first two rounds but now definitely not. Nebraska needs to pull this thing off. If Iowa and their fair weather fans have more to brag about with clearly a worse team than us I’m going to be pissed
Very accurate way to sum this up. We are in a living nightmare right now, and even if we win tonight and then both of us lose in the E8 we are still partially living in it I'm afraid.
