One of the most unique acts out there lyrically and musically. Lots of memories. First one was seeing my aunt's Bat Out of Hell album as a youngster and wondering what crazy **** she was into. Second was my buddy in high school who absolutely loved Meat Loaf and would play it all the time at parties and completely nerd out lip syncing it lol. Still a great album.

Bat out of hell was released in ‘77 i just read. Seemed a bit ahead of it’s time. I bought it as one of my first cd’s mid 90’s and wore it out.

When Derek St Holmes left Ted Nugent midway through the Free For All album they picked up Meatloaf to do the vocals for about 5 songs.
He really had such a powerful voice.

Most vivid memory was 'I would do anything for love' was big in middle school.

It would come on, and the shoulder to shoulder/hips slow dancing would commence, with no one knowing exactly what to do in the sections of song with faster tempo.

Took the awkward to another level.

I was born in 1960 and have been listening to music my entire life. Music is as good now as it has ever been.
