Richmond upsets Kentucky

UK outrebounded Richmond 54-31, by a stat sheet I saw. Also didn’t make a single 3.

The phrase “can’t hit the broad side of a barn” comes to mind. And rebounding stats can be deceptive.

Not stunning that they won. A solid team full of veterans who have played together along time vs a team full of freshman who's practice schedule has likely been inconsistent. Not that surprising.
Then it’s a good thing it’s the 19 point swing I find stunning, not the loss.

Seems like Kentucky is always a season long project for this reason.

These upsets don't have near the impact as in the past.

The 5 star buyers have almost no carryover continuity from year to year.

I say this about every year but so long as a team gets it together in conference season, a loss here and there in November and December is meaningless outside of maybe seeding.

Surprised by this but UK was only at 50.2% win probability pre-tip, so pretty much dead even.

Richmond lost their senior/captain starting pg for the season in Oct.
UNI's next game, after 0-3 in SD, is at Richmond
