Texas State fans seem to be excited about the prospect of CPR...http://bobcatfans.com/forums/viewtopic.php?f=22&t=26431
Likewise, I see no reason why he would struggle recruiting here. He convinced a fair number of Texans to come play for him in the flyover hellhole that is the State of Iowa, so he's got at least some chops in Texas already. They guy comes off as a players coach, which I think we need. His personality would be well-received by Texas HS coaches and the type of offense/defense he prefers to run is in line with most programs in Texas.
In a better recruiting circumstance (i.e. San Marcos rather than ******* Iowa) and in a G5 level of competition, I think he'll be successful.
I certainly feel better about him than I do an inbred hire. That sucks for Schultz because he is being punished by the Fran rub. Teis will still continue to have a punch-able face regardless.
Lots of love for us on there ...
Sources tell FootballScoop that Mississippi State is coming back to Paul Rhoads for DC (expected in Starkvegas tomorrow). Not signed yet.
You're a ******* idiot. From Facebook. apparently Paul has trouble 'letting go'
I thank Paul for his service to ISU, but I won't miss his stubbornness, old school shtick, hard hats, lunch pail stuff that produced little results.
Refused Twitter, players' lounge, and why in the h#ll did we give Paul and our EX-STRENGTH coach carte blanche leeway to help design and and furnish our multi-million dollar FB weight room facility.
made no sense. We're stuck with how many treadmills? good lord:twitcy:
Hi paul?Alright you schmuck, let me pick this apart for you. There was a method to his madness with everything he did. He had the hard hat and lunch pail "stuff" because he wanted his teams to be a blue collar, hard working, "go to work" team. Did it work? yes and no, but not enough for him to stick around obviously. Every coach has their own philosophy, Coach Rhoads happened to be the hard hat mentality. Look at PJ Fleck and "RTB" for example.
Our EX-STRENGTH coach is one of the best in the business. Yancy made custom built racks for ISU that NO ONE ELSE IN THE COUNTRY HAD. And to utilize his strength plan to the fullest, it makes 100% complete sense to why any head coach would let their strength coach design a weight room. The weight room is the strength coaches office essentially. Do you see the correlation between "weight room" and "strength coach?" The Strength Coach is in there the most out of anyone. Houston is letting Yancy design their new weight room too, so maybe you should go bark at them and ask why a 13-1 team would let their strength coach design a weight room.
And the crazy thing about the treadmills is, you can remove them. They're not fixed into the foundation. The new strength coach is getting rid of the treadmills and a couple other little things, but the treadmills were very effective in firing those fast-twitch muscles.
Hi paul?
Hi paul?
Far from Paul, but I think it's comical when people come on here and post stuff they have no idea what they're talking about
Are you talking about our ex strength coach who's new team kicked the **** out of Florida State and many other schools in route to a 13-1 season? Sure I'll take your expert opinion over his results.I thank Paul for his service to ISU, but I won't miss his stubbornness, old school shtick, hard hats, lunch pail stuff that produced little results.
