Either way they have to land a scorer in the transfer portal. As much as I like Toure and Bateman does anyone think they are ready in year 2 to both be 15ppg scorers?

I don't know why anyone would even want to coach these days. Kudos to you for trying it. I used to ref little kids games and I couldn't deal with the parents in thoseFB no doesn't go with my job schedule very well tried it for a 2-3 yrs didn't work out good. Both BB though. You?
I'd rather put $3M in my pocket for a year than try to develop in the G LeagueI think he'll be back, but Im not sure he is going to improve a whole lot. I think he's pretty close to his ceiling at ISU. Might get better development in G League or at the end of a bench for a couple years. Just look at how Georges didn't really refine his weaker points until he was in the league for example.
My guess is both will be in the 9-12 ppg range. Batemon for sure. Toure seems like he has the potential to take a more meteoric jump up. I like the idea of getting an experienced ball handling guard from the portal that can start right away, then allow Batemon to be instant offense 6th man similar to how we used CuJoEither way they have to land a scorer in the transfer portal. I totally forgot about the second french player coming next year. I'm excited! It's a great foundation especially if Milan and Buchanan come back. Some big-time freshmen coming in too. Need to add a couple more bigs who can shoot and rebound. Can't wait to see what the athletic big from France adds to the frontcourt.
Hard to say. I hope Milan is back, but not sure it's what is best for his earning potential longterm. Part of me is curious to see what TJ could do with the funds Milan would be leaving behind too. Get some pieces that are a bit better natural fit for example. I'll be happy either way, I think, full confidence in TJ to respond well to whatever the outcome is.I'd rather put $3M in my pocket for a year than try to develop in the G League
I could definitely see Toure making that jump to 18-20 ppg and all-american type. His defense is stellar. Id like to see him be able to go to the rim more. I agree on getting more of a traditional PG and letting the others play more "off" ballMy guess is both will be in the 9-12 ppg range. Batemon for sure. Iowa State’s Milan Momcilovic Declares for 2026 NBA Draft
The Iowa State Cyclones are losing one of the nation’s most efficient scorers, as standout forward Milan Momcilovic has declared for the 2026 NBA Draft. Momcilovic, one of the premier shooters in college basketball during the 2025–26 season, turned in a highly productive campaign that firmly put...www.heartlandcollegesports.com
My goodness. Look at damn bear every program. Turnover is the norm. Guys making huge jumps from year 1 to year 2 is the norm. Transfers coming in to plug holes is the norm. TJ reloading and getting to the tourney is the norm.I don't have much confidence in next years team. If we can't beat a decent team without Jefferson, and we're also losing Lipsey it may be a long year
He could still develop in the G League after pocketing $3M. Its a crazy risk to not take the sure thing. IMO.Hard to say. Im just making fun of the people who don't realize Iowa can retool the same way.My goodness. Look at damn bear every program. Turnover is the norm. Will you please stop saying “we”? You’re not fooling anyone, and it’s really become sad and pathetic. Congrats on the hawks run this year.I don't have much confidence in next years team. If we can't beat a decent team without Jefferson, and we're also losing Lipsey it may be a long year
STFU. I'm am an ISU fan I'm just not a lunatic like you. I'm not an Iowa fan but i do like Ben McCollum because of some personal ties. So **** off. Will you please stop saying “we”? You’re not fooling anyone, and it’s really become sad and pathetic. Congrats on the hawks run this year.
HCS loves to have click bait headlinesYou’d think Heartland would know enough about declaring for the draft not to print that first sentence.
Ok…. I mean you are shitting on a program because a guy is testing the NBA waters like he absolutely should.STFU. I'm am an ISU fan I'm just not a lunatic like you. I'm not an Iowa fan but i do like Ben McCollum because of some personal ties. So **** off.
Oh yeah. I've said multiple times TJ has done a great job. I know this program isn't getting passed the Sweet 16 though.
