Reggie Hayward, Cyclone HoF

Great recruit by McCarney. Tall and skinny coming out of HS so I think he got overlooked, but he hit the weights hard at ISU and was a difference maker. McCarney turned the program around when he fixed both lines. We had some dudes on the dline at the end of Reggie’s career - him, James Reed, Ryan Harklau, Kevin DeRonde, Nigel Tharpe.
He was overlooked solely because of grade questions. Turned out fine.

I guess I figured he was already in.

Sheesh, well deserved and LONG overdue

130 years of football.
25 years of HOF.

The sports that have been around the longest probably also have the biggest backlog when it comes to HOF selections.

Plus, the waiting period was 15 years at the time (now down to 10), so he wouldn't have even been eligible until 2015 or 2016.
