Recruits & Transfers

And we have come to that conclusion from him going 3-1 his true Fr. year with only lost to Eierman. No doubt he has some major, major character issues but ISU was able to transform another Cuban that several people where questioning last off season.

Don’t get me wrong. I’m not sure why we would let him back into the room but to say he isn’t any good is short sighted.
And he also hasn’t wrestled anyone in those 3 years besides Decatur in wrestle offs and Eierman. Complete pass for me, don’t bring poor character kids into the program at the expense of trying to win a couple more matches.

I think he got caught up in the hype. Flo did him no favors. They had him a National finalist before he stepped in the Ohio State room. I don’t think Tom Ryan did him any favors either.

Then he didn’t help himself with a photo of everything he did. Lost focus for sure

I just ran into Ian Parker and talked about what’s next. He said he took a coaching position at Army and is headed out in the next month. Said they were really excited.
Really happy for Ian. His personality will fit in perfectly at Army. Will miss having him in Ames, but can’t pass up that opportunity

Agreed. Great opportunity.

He really had a great freestyle season and I was excited to have him training with Swiderski. Think we need a 65kg guy to bring in to train with Swiderski.

They now have one of the best coaching staffs around. We will see if they can keep talent from leaving the state to the hawks.
