Recruit Lists v2.0

Re: Some People's Kids

While I agree with most of what you said, the 16/17 class is going to HAVE to have at least 2 bigs who can play immediately. We can afford to reach on guards that may take a year to develop but we needs bigs who can play from day 1. Idk what you are talking about with guys like Morris and Niang though, they both were highly regarded as very polished, skilled recruits. They hit the ground running and never looked back.

I agree when recruiting is done next spring, I would expect a recruiting class comprised of:

1- PG
1- CG
2- HS PF
3- JUCO PF / Although I could see us going after an immediate transfer based on a scholarship opening up next spring.

That would allow us to recruit a couple raw HS kids who won't need to play big minutes right away.

Article of Tyson Carter, ISU offer and watched him this past week.

'Starkville, Mississippi’s Tyson Carter (Starkville HS) proved himself as one of the most lethal shooters at the Summer Jam running with MBA Hoops Elite, but the 6’4 combo guard’s game is a lot versatile than being ‘just a shooter.’

Bo Ryan and Greg Gard just walked in to watch @WisconsinPGC 2017 wing Kobe King. Iowa State, Minnesota here also. #Badgers

Kobe King putting @WisconsinPGC on his back right now. He's got 18, including the last six points. Game tied at 52 with 1:13 left.

Fyi Tyus Jones little brother is a freshman playing in Kansas city this weekend. Wonder if our coaches will check him out.

Hahaha! Agree. Horrible interview.. I think Waters is a very bright, mature young man. Seems like he has a spiritual side, which I think bodes well for Coach Prohm and Iowa State. I think we will definitely survive the 10 school cut. However, Oklahoma State scares me. My opinion, they have the edge so far.

That was painful to watch. I hope we get the kid so we can get him some better interview questions.

Talked to my buddy about Thon Maker last night, he is a die hard Kentucky fan. He said that right now, Kentucky (he believes has basically a no-chance with him. He said ASU is the leader and then Indiana because of former ties/connections he or his people have to those programs. If ASU can be a front runner for a kid like that, ISU can at least get a hand in on the action because of CSP's supposed connection with his trainer/mentor/whatever. This may just be me, but the fact that UK thinks they arent the top choice is a good thing for schools like us to try and show we have top-level talent/ can compete in the Tourney and he can play/be the guy right away.

I know that I'd probably like our chances in a recruiting battle with Arizona St much more than one with Kentucky

KK going to be getting some more attention soon.
@Evan_Flood: You take one thing away from Kobe King, he beats you in another way. Nobody on the floor can guard him today and there's some talent here.
