Just so we're clear, you believe head coaches can make statements to the press about specific recruits who have not signed a Letter of Intent?

But I agree with you. Thought coaches couldn't talk on the record about recruits.
I think we all know coaches aka "sources" talk all the time, just not on the record to media.
I know Miami offered him in 2013 but I haven't heard much else about them since. Who knows
Texting that he's there is probably OK but texting that he could help your current team probably isn't. It's so minor that it's not worth mentioning even if it is.
This reminds me when all those goofers over at the gopherhole were dead set on getting our program shut down after a reporter tweeted something he had heard from talking to one of the ISU staff about Vaughn.

I found an article where he de committed after the coaching change....probably still leaning there, as his dad did play there, but who knows...
