Recruit Lists v2.0

If they dont take one this spring, they will absolutely take one in 2016 imo. I don't see the staff wanting to go into 2016 with Cooke and Custer as the only two with the ability to be a primary ball handler. For 2015 Cooke and Morris should be a nice duo, but I could see us looking to hedge a couple risks, particularly since both can with other pgs and thus reduce redundancy.

Looking forward to getting some more commitments.

Assuming Morris won't be around for 2016 assumes he leaves early so I think the coaches would wait until that becomes a little more concrete, which is why I don't see them taking anyone this spring.

Unless Morris totally blows up this year, I think they pass. A wing and a post seem like bigger needs.

I don't think Fred has a problem with taking a PG every year, provided there's one he wants.

It's unrealistic to think we'll tie up more than 2-3 scholarships on true PG's. 2 PG's and a combo is plenty. You're not going to get a really good PG until 2016 anyway, unless there is a transfer out there in the spring which seems unlikely unless Morris blows up, or Custer looks like he won't make it.

If either of those scenarios happen, then we probably would look to bolster that position.

I think Fred makes that decision based on availability of talent much more so than roster composition. If there is a 2015 PG available (transfer or HS) this spring who he thinks will help the team, he'll go get him regardless of # of PGs on the team - you can never have too many anyway.

I don't really disagree with that, but we are down to Diallo from the HS market as the only HS recruit we're in on.

I just don't see a transfer looking at us as an attractive option unless it looks like Morris will leave early.

Has anyone ever been to Kentucky's actual campus? I'm just curious what the school is like besides the basketball facilities, which I presume are world class...

I realize this is a mix tape, but this kid looks pretty good! Looks like he plays against good competition and he is only a sophomore in this video. He has major hops! I bet Matt is on him as he is from the Northeast. Looks like his brother was a QB at Rutgers.

Kind of weird, but he has his own commercial. Must have been done for a project or something.

Not to be this guy but he never uses his off hand. Its all right hand the whole time.

@jeffborzello: Iowa State has offered 2017 guard Hamidou Diallo. Was very impressive for Putnam Science last night.

(No relation to Cheick Diallo.)

I suppose one Diallo would be gone before the other one got here. But, that would be a nice scenario to have :)

Not really. Check out the left handed drive around the 30 sec mark.

The elevation on his J, however, could be higher.

My brother in law just graduated from there and I've been there a few times. Both Lexington and the campus are pretty sweet. Kentucky itself is a crap state if you ask me, but Lexington is kind of an oasis there.

6'4" guard with quickness and elevation. Good to get in early on him. He still might grow a few inches.

We could have a double ended Diallo.

You've earned this.
